This video editor/sound recordist grew up in a state neighboring Iowa. While completing her degree at one of Iowa's universities, she had the opportunity to work as an intern in the news department of a television station. After she earned her degree in journalism and mass communications with an emphasis in electronic media, she began work on the camera crew for a public television station. On the camera crew she helped build sets, assisted the lighting director and operated cameras for studio and remote productions.
After two years on the camera crew she accepted a position at the same station editing video and recording sound. When a field crew returns from a shoot, she is responsible for editing the video on the Avid, a computer editing system. She also records sound in the field and is responsible for cataloguing the completed features produced by the video production crew. She really enjoys this work and likes the fact that every day is different.
