Body Shop Supervisor #1150 - Tape Number: 1150

Career Profile:
Body Shop Supervisor #1150

After technical school, this body shop supervisor planned to move to Arizona and work for a company that builds helicopters. However, because of a death in his family, he decided to stay in Iowa. He started working as a mechanic on big diesel truck engines. He often finished his mechanical work ahead of schedule, so he would help co-workers doing bodywork and painting for the trucks. He enjoyed this type of work and learned it quickly. When he was offered the opportunity to supervise a truck body shop, he jumped at the chance.

As a truck body shop supervisor, this professional enjoys seeing his customers positive reactions when a badly damaged truck is made as good as new. He also enjoys working with the skilled paint and body repair people on his team. He is very conscious of the fact that his personal commitment to doing quality work is reflected in the craftsmanship of his employees.
