This assistant county attorney grew up wanting to be a police officer like his father. He saw law enforcement as meaningful and exciting work. However, as a teenager he developed health problems and was told he would not pass the physical examination required to join the police force.
Later, while earning a college degree in computer science, he worked with the campus security program. In that job, he was responsible for "prosecuting" violators of campus rules in a student-run court. He found that he was very good at it and REALLY liked it!
After earning his degree in computers, he went to law school. Today, he is a county prosecutor. Although not a policeman like his father, he IS working in law enforcement and finds it to be meaningful and exciting work!
