President & Chief Executive Officer #1126 - Tape Number: 1126

Career Profile:
President and Chief Executive Officer #1126

From coast to coast, continent to continent, this CEO guides the production of more than 1 million tools yearly. It is his job to seek out new ways to increase the company’s productivity and efficiency. Because of this, it is not uncommon for him to visit the work floor and spend time talking with every employee.

He takes pride in his work as it is a third generation family business, and it is one that has changed quite a bit over the years. When the company started, doing business overseas was unheard of. Now, due to the changing world economy, the company does business with several countries, including Russia and China.

He believes knowledge of communications to be one of the greatest skills a person can develop, from reading and writing to foreign language fluency. So next time you are shoveling the walk or raking the lawn, remember, someone else may be using the same Iowa-made-tool, thousands of miles away.
