Design Supervisor #1029 - Tape Number: 1029

Career Profile:
Design Supervisor #1029

Engineering is a family tradition for this industrial engineer. He is the second generation engineer for this company.

Although this design supervisor's responsibilities focus on industrial engineering, he has taken on more supervisory responsibilities during the past year because he has excellent interpersonal skills.

His primary role is to solve problems company engineers encounter in the design department. By solving problems, he can expedite the flow of design work such as layout, approval, detailing, checking prints for design and build jobs. He also serves as the bridge between customers and company engineers and as a bridge between upper management and the shop. He loves his job and believes students need to know more about opportunities for engineering in Iowa.
