This production manager supervises several different workstations located a multiple building cabinet manufacturing company. His job is to communicate goals and information between the floor workers in his building and production managers in other buildings in the company.
One year after high school, while attending a state school, he discovered the world of cabinet manufacturing. After several weeks of training, he began working as a cabinet sander. He was eager to learn new things and quickly became knowledgeable about many different parts of the company. Because of his enthusiasm, he quickly advanced in the company.
He says he uses many of the mathematical and scientific skills he learned in high school every day in his work. It is not uncommon for him to convert between different measurements and fractions. He believes that people who like working in a team and enjoy working with wood may find cabinet manufacturing a satisfying career.
