Firefighter #1088 - Tape Number: 1088

Career Profile:
Firefighter #1088

This firefighter says her job requires a sincere interest in helping people. That emotional interest provides the drive needed to complete firefighter training and be a dedicated firefighter. Just as important is the physical stamina to carry 45 pounds of gear as one battles the elements at the fire scene. This female firefighter is also trained to work with hazardous materials. As with most firefighter positions, she works 24-hour shifts, with 48 hours off. Each shift begins at 7 a.m. The fire station has quickly become her home away from home.
