This meteorologist can trace his interest in the weather back to grade school. When he was in little league he use to be more interested in watching the weather than watching the ball game.
He studied meteorology in college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then started an internship at a weather service and was promoted to Journeyman Meteorologist, then to his current position of Senior Forecaster.
He likes the continual change in technology and the variability of the job. Every day is different for him. One day there could be a thunderstorm outbreak or nice tranquil weather and because of that he says, "You have to be a fairly quick decision maker."
Looking back, he admits he probably should have paid more attention to physics and the different platforms of software and technology that was introduced to him. However, he has learned many skills through on-the-job training. In his free time, depending on the weather, he enjoys all sports and participates in tennis, racquetball, volleyball, snow skiing and softball.
