Meteorologist
A meteorologist studies the atmosphere, which is the air covering the earth. A meteorologist studies the atmosphere's physical characteristics, motions, and processes, and the way it affects the environment. A person in this occupation applies this knowledge to forecast the weather. A meteorologist looks at and records weather patterns, and develops ways to accurately forecast weather. Most use information from weather balloons, satellites and radar, Doppler radar, and remote sensors and observers in many parts of the world.
