Food Services Manager
A food services manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of restaurants and institutional food service facilities. A food services manager orders supplies and attends to all the administrative tasks of the business, including accurate record keeping of the hours and wages of employees, preparing the payroll, and keeping records of supply and equipment purchases. On a daily basis, a food services manager estimates food consumption, and places orders and schedules the delivery of fresh food and beverages. Most manage the kitchen and dining room. Many interview, hire, and, when necessary, fire workers.
