Construction Supervisor
Supervises the activities of workers who build structures or remove resources from the earth. Determines the workers, materials and supplies needed to meet work schedules or to complete a job. Makes sure the workers, equipment and materials are used properly and efficiently. Creates work schedules, assigns duties to workers and rates worker performance. Trains workers, enforces safety rules and handles complaints. Tells workers about company plans and policies; recommends high-performance workers for pay increases, awards or promotions; and deals with poor performers. Prepares progress reports and recommends ways to improve work methods. Meets with managers to discuss problems and possible solutions. May perform all the duties of the workers being supervised.
